Latin America. The Latin American Security Association, ALAS, seeks to reward, stimulate, disseminate and recognize creativity and technological innovation in security projects in the region. For this reason, it has created the ALAS Summit Award to recognize the best security projects.
The call to receive registrations was opened on May 26. Participating companies have until June 25 to register and submit their documentary abstracts for participation.
Registration is done via email by sending the registration form located on the site www.alas-la.org/cumbre/premio-alas.html.
The objective of the contest is to promote, disseminate and stimulate the realization of projects related to the area of Security in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as to encourage creativity and technological innovation in the projects.
A jury of experts from the security industry from different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean will analyze each project to determine the best and deliver the winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.
Projects may not be more than 2 years old. Participants may be security professionals, designers, consultants, designers, installation companies, integrators of security and automation systems, among others.
The selection criteria are as follows:
- Clarity of the presentation and description of the project.
- Contribution to the security of people, property and property.
- Originality and interest.
- Normative aspect, local or international certifications.
- Quality of installation and materials.
- Systems integration.
- Technological innovation.
- Energy saving.
- Economic benefits.
- Educational and informative value.
- Social impact.
- Usefulness of the project as a success story.
- Contribution to the security industry in Latin America.
The award is presented within the framework of the ALAS Management Summit that will take place in Punta Cana from October 16 to 17, 2014.
