Colombia. After the announcement of the start of operations of the national pier of El Dorado airport from October 25, and taking into account the increase in passengers and common areas, Opain S.A. integrated in a platform, video surveillance systems, fire control and access, along with baggage management platforms, corridors, stairs, elevators, etc. with state-of-the-art technology.
The installed video surveillance equipment includes AXIS P3363-V and AXIS P3363-VE network cameras, which are vandal-proof (resistant to shocks of up to 1 ton) and feature Axis Lightfinder technology. This exceptional light sensitivity, which maintains colours even in low-light conditions, is achieved through a combination of Axis' expertise in image processing, system-on-chip development and the selection of the best optical components.
The airport system also features AXIS Q6032 cameras, which allow continuous high-speed horizontal movement of 360° and a 180° tilt angle with 36x optical zoom, in addition to the day/night vision function to continuously ensure security at the airport.

With the inauguration, El Dorado Airport now has more than 900 cameras installed in its national and international docks, making it part of the largest and most modern transit facilities in Latin America, as well as the safest.
The opening comes one year after the inauguration of the international pier, thanks to an investment of approximately US$900 million. The new pier will operate gradually and will have 65,208 square meters of which 13,000 correspond to commerce; in addition to 60 check-in modules, 6 escalators, 4 rolling mats, 10 elevators, 7 bands for suitcases and 9 boarding bridges, which will unify the operation in an agile way and generate a greater flow of travelers.
