International. IFESC Global, International Fire, Safety & Evironment Consulting, a consultancy that connects the world's fire and safety communities, published its latest publication on the top 10 of the most influential entrepreneurs in the world of safety and placed Axis Communications Co-Founder Martin Gren in first place.
Martin Gren, co-founder of Axis Communications in 1984, has been at the forefront of the IP camera revolution. In 1996 he was part of the group that created the first network camera in the world, a fact that left the organization in a privileged position to become the world leader in the market of network cameras.
Axis Communications has led to the migration of analog technology to digital video surveillance and is also projected to be the second largest provider of video encoders globally.
"The video surveillance market has been defined by the network camera, and while there may be other companies that are pushing forward faster, Martin Gren's influence on the industry is undoubted," the study concludes.
Martin Gren said: "It is really a great pleasure for me to be chosen as the most important person in the security market; I remember that in the second participation we had in IFSEC in 1997, a year after the creation of our first network camera, people looked at us as strangers, everyone thought that we were a toy company that had booked the fair badly, and certainly the old network cameras did not have a good performance, they did an fps in CIF resolution and 3 frames / hour in 4CIF so they did not adapt much to the video surveillance system. But we created a new market for remote monitoring and we knew we were right, so we managed to be the first in network video, today we are ahead in IP technology."
In addition to this first place obtained by Martin Gren Co founder of Axis Communications, executives from companies such as G4S, BT, ASIS International, Securitas and CNL, among others, also had recognition.
