Colombia. In the communes 7 and 8 of Cali more video surveillance cameras will be installed, as announced by the Secretary of Municipal Government, Carlos José Holguín Molina, during a meeting with members of the Military Aviation School of Cali, Emavi, and the community of the sector.
More security cameras, expansion of the quadrants and increase of the force of the Police are the measures that will be taken to reinforce the security of communes 7 and 8.
In Comuna 7, six new video surveillance cameras will be installed, which are in addition to the nine that already work for a total of 15 devices. Also, in Comuna 8, of the nine chambers that exist, there will be another eight for a total of 17. The project in total will then have 32 cameras.
At the request of some neighbors to illuminate the parks of these two communes to reduce theft and drug consumption, the Secretary of Government of the city responded that the green areas that the community prioritizes will be subject to the process of changing from yellow light to white light, work that has been carried out by the Mayor's Office in the capital of Valle del Cauca.
