Mexico. Municipal authorities reported that a video surveillance program could be launched in the main streets and avenues of Huamantla.
Carlos Ixtlapale Gómez, mayor of Huamantla, said that as part of the actions to improve security in the city "a video surveillance team was installed and the number of elements of the Municipal Police was increased."
The team was installed in the main avenues of the Historic Center as part of the actions to improve security and provide better services to visitors and tourists, as well as local walkers, he said.
These actions are intended to "protect the safety of local, national and foreign tourists during their stay in the Magical Town (as Huamantla is known)," said the president.
"Video cameras were installed in strategic places which will already begin to operate," he reiterated.
