Mexico. After intense deliberation and welcoming the different proposals of the candidates, the representatives of about 25 partner companies elected the new Steering Committee of ALAS Mexico, which will serve in the position until 2013.
As president of the Steering Committee was appointed the engineer Francisco Javier Fernández (photo); while in the vice presidency will be Samuel Ortiz Coleman, and at the head of the Treasury will serve Andrés Macias Valadez.
Among the proposals of the Work Plan for the biennium 2011-2013 made by the engineer Fernández, the one to develop the inclusion and permanence of the members by strengthening their professionalization and education stands out.
Likewise, Fernández echoed among the representatives of the partner companies when proposing strategic alliances and agreements with the different associations of the sector. This in order to share forums of interest among its partners, which would allow greater market share and success in joint events.
Among the strategic agreements that the new president of ALAS Mexico plans to advance, associations such as IMEI, ASIS, ANCE, CIME, NFPA, and AMERIC are a priority, this with the intention of creating standards, specifications and recommendations that have to do with the security sector in Mexico and Latin America.
Another of the objectives set in his candidacy by the new head of the Association in Mexico, is to purify the database of associates and the market to turn it into a reliable and efficient source of information, in which associates find a tool for analysis and decision making.
And finally, the new Steering Committee has the firm purpose of strengthening WINGS as the necessary interlocutor in security solutions with both end users, manufacturers, integrators, contractors and installers, thus achieving that the associates are recognized for their high level of professionalism and quality throughout the market.
Francisco Javier Fernández, the new president of ALAS Mexico, has studies as an Electrical Mechanical Engineer, Program in Business Safety Management (DSE), Diploma in Total Quality. He also served as president of the Special Sector of AMERIC (Mexican Association of Companies in the Field of Construction Facilities, A.C.) in the period 2009 to 2011. He is also a partner of ASIS since 2003, he was vice president of the Security chapter on the board of directors of the IMEI (Mexican Institute of the Intelligent Building, A.C.) in the period 2004-2008, among others.
