This number of new cameras complements the list of 250 that were previously installed in the departments of Lavalle, Maipú and Capital. Three 62" LCD screens and four computerized surveillance posts make up the new control room that will monitor the streets of the Argentine city. The cameras have a visual range of 35x and are installed on fiber optic links, they are also well protected against different types of climates thanks to their vandal-resistant cabinets.
The governor of the province, Celso Jaque, commented in this regard that "the main objective of these technologies is to guarantee the full and safe exercise of citizens on the street and in addition, these instruments must serve in favor of the prevention and apprehension of all types of criminals."
