Gary Wong, research analyst at IMS explained that "despite the complex economic environment, Milestone continued its growth in 2009, strengthening in the market and building its own success as the market begins to recover," to which Lars Thingaard, President and CEO of Milestone added, "We are well positioned for continued growth. We expanded again this year with the addition of new talent to our staff."
The global analog surveillance video market decreased by more than 5% in 2009, on the contrary, the network surveillance market increased by more than 18% in the same period.
