I ask you with such concern because I heard this rumor and in the last version of InfoComm, Audio, Video and Lighting convention, one of the big technology brands was exhibiting, on par with television equipment and other systems, CCTV cameras.
At one point it was exciting to see that some equipment that was quite familiar to me was there, but on the other hand it was amazing, because, although another of the greats of the security market linked its A/V division to that of cameras and alarms, I still could not visualize these fully integrated industries, more when a couple of months ago I spoke with some experts in building automation, who said that although there were many opportunities for this marriage there was still a good distance for it to consolidate.
This even made me think of a mega exhibition of different technologies for buildings, as happened with Exposeguridad Mexico, which now integrates security with building management and vital protection systems.
So reader, you who are a security integrator, tell me how true this approach between the world of security and audiovisual is. Also tell me how much you want to get involved in the assembly of audio and video solutions in projects with clients who do not hire their security systems. Send your feedback to [email protected] to understand where the industry is moving in the coming years. Thanks a lot.
