VENTAS DE SEGURIDAD spoke with Alexandra Valencia, marketing director for Latin America of UTC Fire & Security, who gave us the reasons why this negotiation took place.
"The negotiation comes from about eight months ago and took place on the first of March. It was born from the intention of UTC Fire & Security to grow its product portfolio, to expand the portfolio it currently has and comes with a lot of desire to grow and invest; we believe this is a great opportunity for all of our product lines to continue to progress."
After a negotiation in which several brands are involved, the client may become confused on the issue of names, which is why Alexandra explains the work that the firm has ahead: "A great work of marketing, relaunching the brands and obviously a very strong campaign to assure our current clients that GE is still on their side, that brands and products continue, that we are not abandoning them; on the contrary, this shows that UTC has a great idea to continue growing."
It should be remembered that GE will conduct commercial operations on behalf of UTC Fire & Security, which at the same time is authorized to use the GE brand on some products in variable periods of 3 to 10 years.
