According to the Teruel Police, the value of the cameras ranges between 15,000 and 25,000 euros, which will be financed by the Ministry of Territorial Policy.
The idea, according to what was expressed by the Councilor for Citizen Security, Luis Muñoz, is that these equipment will be installed by the end of 2009. These cameras will transmit the images to the local police checkpoint through a Wimax network.
The decision to incorporate these new cameras is due to the good result that video surveillance has given, preventing vandalism.
