United States. Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies announced that it will begin discontinuing the "Ingersoll Rand Recognition Systems" brand for its HandPunch time and assistance terminals, which will now carry the Schlage brand. "In 2008, we will embark on a transition to consolidate all of our products and services under the Ingersoll Rand Schlage brand," in order to take advantage of the worldwide recognition of that brand. HandPunch time and attendance terminals transmit employees' inbound and outbound movements to the company's schedule, attendance, and payroll software. Multiple units can be networked in a central multi-record keeping system, which includes programmable data handling keys that collect specific information when employee biometric data is verified.
