Colombia. With the press of a button, TransMilenio users are in contact with the police headquarters that monitors the cameras.
The objective is to improve the response times of the authorities and reduce the insecurity rates that occur in this means of transport. Although for several months the system has five vigilant columns which have state-of-the-art cameras with panic button (to report by audio and video any irregularity in the portals), only until the end of March most users learned of the existence of this system.

The cameras – 199 fixed and 27 mobile – record the stations inside and out and are connected to the Police's Automatic Dispatch Center (CAD) to improve the response times of the authorities.
57.9% of the objects stolen in TransMilenio are cellular. It is followed by wallets (12.8 percent) and cash (11.3 percent).
