Spain. The first five taxis in the city of Bilbao that have security cameras began operations earlier this month.
The system, which amounts to 1,400 euros, consists of one or two microcameras (there can be up to four), which are installed in different parts of the vehicle and record everything that happens inside. The signal is transmitted directly by cables integrated into a hard drive located in the trunk, which has a storage capacity that allows you to record what happens in the vehicle for more than three weeks.
With the installation of these security cameras, taxi drivers seek to have a tool to deter attackers and protect themselves from them.
