Mexico. Metal detectors, 30 security cameras and police reinforcement are part of the contingency plans adopted by the Government of the Federal District, to protect visitors to the historic Metropolitan Cathedral.
It was also announced that a control room will be set up inside the building, in order to monitor all the movements of visitors, which will be operated by trained personnel belonging to the temple.
It was also said that to protect the historical relics of the cathedral, smoke censors will be installed, thus protecting the artistic and cultural heritage that the enclosure has.
