Inspection system
The new MultiCAM Corona & Infrared detection camera is the newest inspection system designed to help detect normal voltage and flow that has to do with reliability problems in high-voltage equipment. This product, developed in partnership with Eskom, completes CSIR's CoroCam family for daytime and low-light visibility camera crown systems. This new analysis tool is not an update but an instrument to save the time of the insulators.
Each camera is delivered with corona camera training including the DVD course and two-day high-voltage instructions covering most HV applications.
The corona chamber senses nitrogen in the air and emits a UV light, so that the area that could probably have damaged is inspected.
