International. LenelS2 offers the first end-to-end, full-stack NFC mobile credential solution from a single vendor, including readers, as well as credential issuance and management capabilities.
As a result, organizations can offer their employees or tenants the ability to obtain mobile credentials on the Apple iPhone (and/or Apple Watch), while avoiding the costs and tracking of printed credentials. Credentials are stored securely and conveniently in Apple Wallet.
From mobile credential issuance to mobile credential management and revocation, LenelS2's wallet-based NFC mobile credential solution makes credential management easy.
In addition, this solution saves money by avoiding multiple vendors for the reader, credential, and access control system.
The company has noted that, in a legacy reader environment, it's wise to start by introducing BlueDiamond readers into the secure environment, configuring your BlueDiamond readers to read legacy credentials. It is then possible to continue issuing legacy credentials while replacing legacy readers, with no deadline for doing so.
In a mixed reader environment, all existing legacy readers must be replaced before LenelS2 BlueDiamond NFC credentials are issued to ensure that each issued credential works everywhere in the secure environment.
In an Employee Badge fully deployed in the Apple Wallet environment, legacy formatting can be disabled on all BlueDiamond readers once all legacy credentials have been replaced, thus completing the migration.
Finally, any BlueDiamond Reader can be updated to support NFC. This can be done using a remote update (OSDP file transfer) or a manual update (xFlash utility).
