Argentina. The video management software is used in San Miguel de Tucumán to manage the modern video surveillance system in the Argentine city.
This is Axxon One VMS, a platform that allows 911 center personnel to autonomously manage cameras with advanced analytics and functionalities such as license plate and face detection, infrared rays, video wall and other resources that increase the efficiency of real-time monitoring.
The level of technological innovation of the system has been described by the authorities of the province as "unprecedented", since there is now more than one camera at different points, which allows software analysis to be carried out in real time and determine certain patterns from different films.
"We have trained the monitoring staff to learn how to use the new software that the cameras installed in the province have. The idea is for them to know the tools that have to do with license plate reading, face recognition and other instruments that allow the system to work autonomously and optimize the number of people it is monitoring at any given time", said Manuel Martínez Zuccardi, advisor to the Ministry of Security.
For his part, Deputy Commissioner Adrián Puentes, who is head of the 911 Technical Area, indicated that "the cameras have different profiles or levels, they have 45x, infrared, facial recognition and vehicle license plate analytics. It's a very important technological innovation that will help us perform deeper analyses".
