International. Axis Communications' W110 Body Worn Camera will begin shipping through the company's distribution channels in the fourth quarter of 2023.
This was announced by the manufacturer, who stressed that this body camera is designed as a tool for deterrence, protection and documentation that contributes to reducing attacks on employees in sectors such as retail, healthcare or transport.
"Until now, body cameras were almost exclusively intended for law enforcement and security organizations," said Olof Leidecker, chief product officer at Axis Communications. "With AXIS W110 Body Worn Camera, its benefits reach new segments, with a compact, lightweight and intuitive camera that can be used in all kinds of environments," he added.
The new device captures crystal clear images and audio, for ease of use for forensic purposes, and can store large volumes of recordings, without diminishing quality. In addition, it can integrate with AXIS Camera Station or any video management software, has end-to-end encryption, and is HIPAA compliant.
