Colombia. The director of sales and business development for Latin America at Johnson Controls, Ricardo Pulido, gave a positive balance of the brand's participation in the ESS+ 2022 International Security Fair .
Ricardo commented, in an interview with the magazine Ventas de Seguridad, that the participation turned out better than they had expected, due to the large number and quality of visitors. He also highlighted Colombia's role as one of the most important markets in Latin America.
When asked about the innovations in technologies dedicated to safety, he was inclined to highlight the importance of solutions that go hand in hand with environmental sustainability and the advantages that this generates. "Saving energy in your own home is the simplest cost/effective thing you can do safely. With certain minimum deployments, households can save 10%."
Finally, Ricardo answered the question of the activity "Security challenges in Latin America", How to contribute to care strategies focused on minors?
The executive was moved, because for him "protecting our girls and girls should be a priority" and pointed out that one of the most unsafe places for this population turns out to be their own homes, so he indicated that technology has a call to help, from the reports and calls for help that are obtained in the systems that are being installed, such as community alarms.
In this sense, he called on municipal administrations to ask for and demand buttons that go beyond a panic call, with more specific notifications, audio detection and other possibilities to address the emergencies that affect this particular population.
