VU Color Cameras
When we talk about a CCTV system, it is sometimes difficult to define which technology is the most suitable for the needs of a client, since the characteristics today are very varied.
But when we talk about a system that is useful to us to be able to define the colors, textures and obtain a better use of the image, the offer is reduced and only very few manufacturers are those who can offer efficient options.
That is why in Hikvision we have a line of special products to not lose any detail in the monitored, despite having a scene of little or no lighting; we call that line ColorVu. A camera that sees in black and white at night can give us a detail of between 60% and 70% of use in the image, against one that can see in color in scenes with little or no lighting, which gives us a use of between 90% and 95% of effectiveness in the image.
This technology is based on 3 fundamental factors:
- Large Iris aperture: compared to a camera that sees in B/W that has an Iris aperture of f 2.0 against the ColorVu camera that has an iris aperture of f 1.0 being "f" the ratio between focal length and the effective aperture diameter of the iris, in other words, a ColorVu camera can capture the light of the scene up to 4 times more compared to a camera that only sees a B/W.
- Advanced Sensor: ColorVu cameras have an advanced noise reduction technology called "3DNR" that helps reduce imperfections and thus have a clean image. It also has Automatic Gain Control "AGC" that, to that image that is already clean, it is given more color and brightness, achieving a more vivid image.
But what happens in scenes with almost no or no lighting? That's where the last factor comes in:
- Supplementary light: this friendly light allows us to illuminate the scene when with the 2 factors passed are no longer enough, achieving color images and sharp at night.
