International. Orange reported that it has reached an agreement with the Investcorp fund to acquire 100% of the Dutch cybersecurity services provider SecureLink, an operation that the company values at 515 million euros.
SecureLink, based in the Netherlands, is an independent provider of cybersecurity services in Europe, with a presence in Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark and Norway. Founded in 2003, SecureLink provides a full range of cybersecurity services to support its customers. Its offering includes specialized security consulting, maintenance and security support with 24/7 service desks (SOC), as well as advanced detection and response (MDR) capabilities. The group is also a major value-added reseller of security software and hardware solutions. With more than 660 employees and 14 offices, SecureLink posted revenues of €248 million in 2018 and served more than 2,100 customers across a wide range of industries.
With this acquisition, Orange becomes one of the leaders in cybersecurity with some 1,800 employees, more than 600 million revenues in 2018 and a strong presence in major local markets.
With an extended presence around the world, the company will be able to address the growing and increasingly complex security needs of its customers on a global scale, and offer strong synergies with the expertise and global presence of Orange Business Services, which serves more than 3,000 multinational companies.
SecureLink's senior management team will join Orange's global leadership team to work together on building the operating model for the joint organization.
The closing of the purchase of SecureLink is expected by the end of the second or third quarter of 2019.
