Mexico. Innovations to its flagship Security Center 5.8 solution with customizable panels, a new mobile application and functions for strengthening the health of systems, privacy and cybersecurity, were the novelties that Genetec unveiled during the Expo Seguridad México 2019.
The company presented new features to its Security Center 5.8 solution with customizable information panels that show real-time data, such as video transmissions, alarms, reports and graphs according to specific work functions (security, operations, IT etc.).
"One of the features present in our Insignia Security Center 5.8 solution is the new mobile app that allows operators to have full access to the system when they are on the go. It also allows you to share live video with the control center and share the location of each person who is in the field to respond quickly to incidents," said Abelardo A. Tous, Director General of Mexico.
Another new addition to Security Center 5.8 is the security index to track compliance with best practices for strengthening, availability, and firmware updates and password strength. Genetec's new version of Security Center has enhanced layers of privacy protection to help customers comply with global privacy regulations like GDPR.
Genetec celebrated 5 years of launching its first cloud solution, Stratocast, a key product in collaborative video surveillance initiatives that allows you to watch live and recorded videos from a laptop, tablet or smartphone.
"We were pioneers in offering video surveillance in IP networks, and we have extended and applied our experience and expertise in IP network security, access control, license plate recognition (LPR) and other security applications and now operations and predictive analytics, all available in the Microsoft Azure cloud," said Abelardo A. Tous during the cocktail celebration.
According to Market Research Company Forrester, 50% of companies will start using cloud applications to improve the quality of their services and expenses related to cloud computing will increase considerably by 2020.
