Latin America. Hanwha Techwin has further strengthened its premium Wisenet P range with the introduction of the ultra high definition camera PNM-9320VQP that, with 4 sensors and a separate PTZ camera, has been designed to offer an excellent quality-price solution for the detection and tracking of objects in wide open areas.
The option of interchangeable 2- and 5-megapixel lens modules allows the sensors built into the H.265 Wisenet PNM-9320VQP camera to work together directly to capture 360-degree images of up to 20 megapixels resolution. In addition, the 32x optical 2-megapixel PTZ camera, which is built into the PNM-9320VQP, automatically activates to closely follow a moving person or object, or to move towards a user-defined position, when the motion detection function of the multidirectional camera detects activity.
"Mounting a PTZ camera at the centre of the PNM-9320VQP allows us to offer a very economical and effective solution for surveillance applications in large areas and urban environments such as car parks, shopping malls and warehouses," said Uri Guterman, Marketing and Product Director at Hanwha Techwin Europe. "In addition, installation and maintenance costs are much lower, so end users do not need to make a large investment, such as the one that would require using five separate cameras to cover the same area and achieve the same level of functionality."
Main features
The PTZ camera benefits from the world's best Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) with the 2MP lens module, which works at a maximum of 150 dB to accurately render images in scenes that simultaneously contain very bright and very dark areas. The 5-megapixel lens module works with 120 dB WDR.
The PNM-9320VQP camera is vandal-proof (IK10) and weatherproof (IP66). It features a gyroscopic sensor that offers precise stabilization when the camera suffers vibrations due to wind or other causes, resulting in more stable images. Other features include 5 built-in SD memory card slots – which help keep data safe in the event of a network outage – the defogging function – which generates corrections to blurry images captured in foggy conditions – and lens distortion correction (LDC) – which compensates for distortions produced by wide-angle lenses.
WiseStream II
The PNM-9320VQP multi-stream camera supports H.264, H.265 and MJPEG compression algorithms. Bandwidth efficiency is improved by up to 99% compared to current H.264 technology when using H.265 combined with WiseStream II, a complementary compression technology that dynamically controls encoding, striking a balance between quality and compression, depending on image movement.
Wisenet PNM-9000VQ
Hanwha Techwin has also just introduced the Wisenet PNM-9000VQ multidirectional camera, which makes use of 4 interchangeable lens modules to jointly capture 360-degree images of up to 20 megapixels resolution. It shares many of the features of the PNM-9320VQP, but does not integrate a PTZ camera.
