Colombia. More than 700 graduate students each year and linked to the world of work or owners of their own business, show the effectiveness of the technical training in electronic security taught by the Latin American Security Association, ALAS.
ALAS is the largest non-profit guild on the continent specialized in security issues through its more than 400 members from three continents and with a presence in 27 countries in the region.
"There are fifteen short face-to-face courses that we teach in fifteen countries in Latin America, in large and intermediate cities, with expert local instructors to guarantee training in this electronic technology," explains Alberto Álvarez, CEO of ALAS.
There are also some online courses and soon a Security Manager Certification will begin to be issued, unique in the region.
"We are pioneers in Latin America in this type of training, but as there is no single career in electronic security in any country, these courses are not homologable, but they do allow the student to work in each specialty with the respective Certification," adds Álvarez.
The Courses
The face-to-face courses at WINGS cost between 250 and 300 dollars, and have a duration of 16 face-to-face hours each (two days of eight hours). In total there are fifteen courses and for each one approved a Certification is issued. On average there are between 10 and 20 students per course.
The student receives the basic knowledge of each specialty he chooses and that will allow him to start working immediately or start his own business.
