Latin America. The latest technologies developed by Bosch IP have been acclaimed in two of the world's most prestigious product design competitions, the Red Dot Awards and the iF Design Awards.
The PUBLIC address and voice evacuation system PRAESENSA, has been selected among thousands of options around the world to carry the coveted Red Dot award. Meanwhile, the DICENTIS wireless conferencing system has also been recognized with another recognition, the iF Design Award.
With origins dating back to 1955, the Red Dot Design Award is internationally recognized as a seal of quality, attracting participants from around the world to compete in 48 categories in hopes of earning the jury's approval. Similarly, the iF Design Award is just as demanding and attracted 6,402 participants from 54 countries in 2018, with a jury composed of 63 design experts.
The Red Dot Award follows the widespread trend of the PRAESENSA call station's narrow focus and user experience. Along with the architectural use of the OMNEO IP, compatible with Dante ™ and Power Over Ethernet (PoE), the main features include an attractive and intuitive touch interface, up to four dedicated extensions add touch buttons with multicolorED LEDs for quick zone/function selection and feedback status. To ensure maximum flexibility, the PRAESENSA call station can be installed on a table, on the wall or recessed depending on the needs.
OMNEO IP is also at the heart of the DICENTIS Interpreter desk department, making it easy to quickly and easily integrate with third-party systems. Part of the DICENTIS family, which supports up to 100 interpreted languages, the new desk has been created to provide more flexibility and functionality to interpreters along with the best-in-class user experience.
"The design of our conference products is very important to us, both for the aesthetic value of a product within a meeting room, and for the experience our users have with it," said Lars van den Heuvel, Director of the Global Product Management Conference and Discussion. "We started very early with the design process as a vital element within every development project. Winning the Red Dot award and IF Design is a recognition of the great effort we invest."
OMNEO is an architectural approach that connects devices that need to exchange information such as audio content or device control. Based on various technologies, including IP and open public standards, OMNEO supports current technologies, such as Audinate's DanteTM, while embracing the standards of tomorrow. OMNEO offers a professional-grade media networking solution that provides interoperability, unique features for easier installation, better performance, and greater scalability than any other IP offering on the market.
In addition to the awards for PRAESENSA and DICENTIS Interpreter desk, the Red Dot jury highlighted the Bosch Group for another reason for celebration, as both Electro-Voice and Dynacord received the Red Dot Awards for the EVOLVE 50 portable column speaker and the L3600FD DSP power amplifier, respectively.
