Latin America. The new stainless cameras seek to meet the protection needs demanded by an environment as complex as the maritime, where humidity and light restrictions make equipment with special conditions required.
Hanwha Techwin introduced its new security cameras for the maritime industry, which has grown in recent years and demands increasingly higher levels of security.
To meet this need, this manufacturer brings to the market a series of stainless chambers that are highly resistant to corrosion and acid, even under the high salinity levels of the sea and the humid climate, making this equipment ideal to be installed on different types of boats.
Also, the cameras are certified waterproof, which allows them to be very useful in environments where they are exposed to this element, such as ports, ships or beaches.
As part of its features, the cameras in question include a defogging function that automatically corrects a scene where the fog does not allow to have a clear and defined image.
Another additional function is the stabilization of the digital image, through which it is possible to give firmness to ccTV video images that move due to the vibration of the ship's frame.
In addition to these stainless equipment, Hanwha Techwin puts at the service of the maritime industry a series of thermal cameras that ensure accurate monitoring of environments in which darkness may prevail, as happens in the ocean; this is possible thanks to the fact that the image sensor allows to detect heat irradiation.
Due to the low lighting or the total gloom that prevails in the ocean at night, accidents such as collisions of boats with floating elements are likely to occur. Thermal cameras significantly reduce the risk of this kind of incident, detecting objects that are invisible to the human eye, through the identification of objects via heat detection.
Germán Pacheco, Hanwha's product manager for Latin America, said that the growth of the maritime sports and leisure industry requires high-level technologies to guarantee the safety of boats, internal and external parts of ships, ports and docks, so the company wanted to ratify the industry and customers in this segment, that Hanwha Techwin's surveillance solutions are crucial for maritime safety.
"The totality of the knowledge in security solutions, including the most advanced video surveillance technology, is being used in different ways around us. Considering that Hanwha Techwin has specialized products and solutions adaptable to a wide variety of uses, we plan to actively explore and open new markets," concluded Pacheco.
