Latin America. IDEMIA announced the launch of MorphoWave Compact, the latest addition to its range of biometric products for contactless access control. The product is based on IDEMIA's patented contactless 3D fingerprint recognition technology and offers the proven performance of the award-winning MorphoWave Tower in a compact, wall-mountable reader intended for access control in scheduled periods.
The MorphoWave Compact is 86% smaller than the MorphoWave Tower, but retains the same scan volume. Capture four-finger fingerprints in 3D for maximum accuracy, with a hand pass over the sensor. The contactless operation and ergonomic design offer an unrivalled combination of performance, comfort and safety. Adding to the small size of the MorphoWave Compact is a very competitive cost of ownership, IP65 rating and a multitude of features to ensure users can now experience contactless access everywhere, with a simple wave of the hand.
As a global leader in fingerprint technology for more than four decades, IDEMIA has worked with the world's leading users of biometric services. Over the past ten years, IDEMIA has combined enormous R&D efforts with large-scale, high-volume contactless fingerprint technology implementations, to make contactless biometric access a proven reality today.
"The overwhelming success of our MorphoWave Tower in leading Fortune 500 companies around the world, whether at their headquarters, large manufacturing plants, prestigious universities and some of the world's largest banks and financial institutions, not only demonstrates that the technology delivers on its promise, it also confirms the potential and enormous desire to use it everywhere." said Philippe Barreau, IDEMIA's executive vice president of citizen identity and public safety activities.
