Mexico. SonicWall holds for the second consecutive year its most important event in the region divided into two parts, the first under the name of SonicWall Kick-Off Metal 2018 and the second keeping the original name of SonicWall Forum 2018.
During the SonicWall Kick-Off Metal 2018, the company met with around 45 Gold and Silver level partners from both Mexico and Central America, who had the opportunity to hear from Douglas Rivero, SonicWall's Sales Director for Latin America, the strategy to follow during 2018, a year of great opportunities considering the latest additions to its portfolio of solutions such as SonicWall Capture Client and SonicWall NGFirewall for virtualized environments.
This event was attended by Chris Auger, Vice President of Sales for the Americas, who presented an overview of the threats that lurk globally and how the company is coping with intelligent solutions that are capable of detecting malware even at the memory level.
On the business side, the company promoted the issue of Security as a Service, emphasizing partners looking for growth options by becoming MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider), in order to enter a new recurring revenue model that together with the development of projects will increase their profitability.
In the second part of the day, at the SonicWall Forum 2018, more than 140 registered channels were brought together, who were updated on the opportunities to work closely with the brand, as well as urged to align with global trends taking advantage of the advantages of being part of the SonicWall SecureFirst Partner Program, such as the training courses through SonicWall University and the use of the SonicWall OverDrive 2.0 platform that has been renewed precisely to provide partners with all the sales tools necessary to access more and better projects.
Both events were attended by Dominion, MAPS and Scansource, wholesalers with which SonicWall serves the needs anywhere in the country. Each of them had the opportunity to expose to the attendees their main differentiators, in such a way that they can make synergy to jointly develop any project related to the brand.
As the event is an ideal time to strengthen relationships, SonicWall had available in several sessions to various executives of its regional team, including Eustolio Villalobos, Country Manager for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean; Roberto Campos, Director of Channels for Mexico; Vladimir Alem, Marketing Leader for Latin America and Alejandro Tomás, Sales Engineer, to name a few.
"These events held in Mexico City are a sign of the importance that the country has for SonicWall, we are sure that at the end of the event our partners will leave with a clear vision of where we want to take them. For our part, we are ready to help them boost their businesses with the best cybersecurity solutions and marketing tools that will make it easier to penetrate the market," concluded Douglas Rivero, SonicWall Sales Director for Latin America.
