Latin America. Hanwha Techwin announced that it has entered into an alliance with SANS Technology, a provider of technology for video data storage, which will allow Hanwha to offer video server solutions tailored to the needs of its customers.
Therefore, both integrators and end customers will be able to increase the size of their electronic security projects without thinking about limitations derived from the number of cameras or storage capacity, something that occurs when working within the typical NVR/ DVR environment.
Having video servers built to suit the needs of customers means greater resources that would allow expanding the number of cameras of the projects, leaving open the possibility for future growth.
"Our technology, combined with Hanwha's smart product line, will give customers simplicity in deploying any security solution with a robust, out-of-the-box, easy-to-install solution. In addition to offering customers different configuration alternatives, the SANS solution is designed to accommodate the needs of video surveillance projects, no matter the size or vertical market," explains Todd Duchemin, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at SANS Technology, who added, "With this partnership, there will really be no limitations on the amount of resources our common customers will have in their hands."
Details on how the integration works
Syneto, SANS Technology's hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platform, can integrate with any Windows- or Linux-based video management software (VMS) to provide customers with security intelligence and more robust video storage options. Syneto is optimized for the intense writing needs of the video surveillance industry.
A typical VMS framework manages and monitors an unlimited number of cameras and devices, applies intelligent video analytics, and integrates a variety of disparate systems into a single, centralized interface. By taking VMS software and all its capabilities and uploading it to SANS Technology's Syneto, customers will have access to bespoke solutions as well as enterprise-class video analytics in a scalable architecture that is easy to deploy and manage.
The platform architecture is optimized for IP video to prevent video loss and image quality degradation. Syneto ensures that previously recorded video remains accessible even if entire devices are disconnected. This extreme resilience ensures that critical data is protected and available for security, legal, business intelligence and risk management requirements.
In addition, systems can be easily expanded as needs grow without disrupting operations, while other applications such as access control, visitor management, and video analytics can be consolidated into Syneto to further reduce costs and improve reliability.
Finally, Alex Pazos, Director of Sales and SAE of Hanwha Techwin for Latin America, said that "SANS Technology's advanced storage solutions provide our customers and integrators with more options and flexibility to retain video surveillance information in the long term." "This integration offers customers the certainty that Hanwha is consistently working to create a partner portfolio that further expands the value of our video surveillance solutions."
