Latin America. Bosch Security Systems has made its 1200 and 5000 Series modular fire stations even more attractive to installers and system integrators.
Now, both plants support a test mode with mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones, without the need to install any application. In addition, Bosch partners can now customize the 1200 and 5000 Series modular fire stations with their own logos or adapt keyboard screens to their customers' corporate design.
The new functionalities are also available to existing customers through a firmware update to version 2.19.7, which also brings the general availability of Bosch Remote Services, introduced in April of this year.
With the new firmware, these Remote Services now include the digital test mode feature. Through an optimized interface, it greatly facilitates the review of detectors and the testing of LSN devices. All detectors in a given loop are displayed on the mobile device screen in an intuitive overview, along with their addresses and additional information stored in the exchange, as well as status data depending on the type of detector (e.g. temperature, EMC or degree of contamination).
From this overview, the technician can start the test procedure easily. The correct tests are automatically highlighted on the screen and the corresponding detector is marked as tested. It is also possible to store individual notes for each detector. With these functions and depending on local regulations, a technician can perform the detector test very efficiently on his own, without the need for a colleague to observe and record the tests on the display of the fire station.
The results are continuously recorded during the detector test, so that they are always available after interruptions or drops of the communications link. Once the detector test is complete, complete reports are automatically generated in PDF and Excel format, further reducing the time and cost to prepare the necessary documentation of the service intervention.
