Latin America. Video surveillance specialists Hanwha Techwin and access control experts TDSi have successfully integrated SSM video management software (VMS) with the EXgarde PRO PC access management application.
The integration has been achieved through a transaction server module that is part of the Wisenet SSM VMS solution and links the access control activity with the corresponding video captured by the Wisenet cameras. Any unauthorized person who tries to enter a sensitive area of the building, for example, will generate an alert and images of the incident will be displayed on a monitor or on a Videowall.
Other possible actions include activating PTZ dome cameras near the access and starting a pre-configured tour of the surrounding areas to allow operators to have a complete vision and knowledge of what might be happening, as well as viewing the corresponding access control point on a building plan.
EXgarde® PRO is a PC software application for complete access management, which can be used either to control a door of a facility with a small number of users or to manage thousands of doors in several installations, with thousands of users. It is designed to directly integrate many functionalities of a security and building management system using a single database and a single user interface. These functionalities include fire and intrusion detection, building automation and management, Active Directory and biometrics technologies, as well as video surveillance.
Wisenet SSM has been designed by Hanwha Techwin to ensure that users get the maximum benefit from a wide range of Wisenet IP network cameras, recording devices and servers, and facilitate integration with third-party systems such as access control and intrusion alarms. It also supports specialized analytics applications that can run on Wisenet cameras.
"TDSi's access control solutions and Hanwha Techwin's video surveillance solutions are increasingly specified in the same projects," said Tim Biddulph, Head of Product and Solutions at Hanwha Techwin Europe. "With this in mind, it stands to reason that system integrators expect to have a high level of integration between the two technologies to offer their customers a complete and effective solution. We are delighted to have worked in partnership with TDSi's technical team to ensure we provide good added value to all our customers."
