Colombia. With the participation of more than 10,000 visitors, 300 exhibitors and brands, as well as the latest news and trends for the security, prevention and protection sector of the region, the seventeenth edition of the International Security Fair closes its doors.
Patricia Acosta, director of the fair, revealed that "without a doubt this 2017 version of the fair confirmed that we are the HUB for the sector in the region. We believe that the participation of visitors from Mexico, Ecuador, Uruguay, Venezuela, Panama, the United States, some from the Caribbean, and of course from Colombia, has allowed us to continue growing to consolidate ourselves as a center of business and development."
Mario Camargo, advisor of the fair, said: "we are very happy with the participation of the best exponents of the sector, as well as with the different alternatives exposed in terms of updating and training."
For his part, Julio Romero, commercial leader of Serceco Colombia, said that it was ratified that they are in the right market, since during the fair they delivered test certifications at no cost and support of joint work with Garrett, among others. "We recognize that Colombia already has alternatives for obtaining high-tech equipment for the detection of organic or non-organic products, ferrous or non-ferrous, inside suitcases, boxes and different packaging."
Carlos Cortés, general manager of LawMate, Colombia, said: "We are delighted because the success of public entry to the fair has been sensational, as well as the attention from distributors, customers and all the media impact we have achieved. We will certainly be present in the next edition."
Leonardo Cossio, Axis Sales Engineer for South America – Northern Cone, said: "We are pleasantly surprised at the influx we have had, not only in terms of quantity but also in terms of the quality of visitors. We have noticed that integrators have come more accurate, with more direct questions, knowing what they need. The market is now more educated by obtaining timely and accurate information. We leave with a great benefit from this fair and we are confident that in the coming years a greater number of people will be received and therefore more profit for us."
Andrés González, general manager of Ikonect, said "for us it was a positive experience because we had the opportunity to make the company and our products known to highly qualified national and international markets. We found interesting requests from customers from different sectors of the industry, to adapt our Interactive Kiosks to new needs."
Orlando Bindi, general manager of ByG, argued that "it is very gratifying for B&G Electronics to see the acceptance of the public at the fair, given the solutions presented of Intercoms, automated voice systems and the welcome of the launch of the new DAR audio recording system for the evidentiary issue of complaints and claims or review of marketing policies."
Juan Carlos Medina, executive director of Andevip, said that "the fair has been an excellent opportunity to build commercial relationships in the private security sector. The National Association of Private Security Entities, Andevip, was the only guild that participated in this commercial event, representing a sector that demands legal security in the fulfillment of its missionary objective."
Laura Silva, project manager of Corferias, said that "we finished an excellent fair, a space that allowed the generation of business, promote meetings of value between leaders from all sectors. We are satisfied with having contributed to the fulfillment of the expectations and goal of our exhibitors and visitors. Finally, Acosta added "that the International Security Fair will continue to consolidate itself as the business stage and as the annual launch platform for new global technologies, which brings together important factories and headquarters from the Americas, Asia and Europe."
