Mexico. Given the growth of episodes of insecurity in Mexico, Boon Edam offers suitable solutions to companies, which adapt to the needs of each client, whether large or small, said Juan Claudio Rubio, business development manager for Mexico of the company.
During the Axis Solutions Conference 2017, held in Mexico City, he said: "Unfortunately in Mexico insecurity increases, not goes down, so having a physical barrier in a facility helps someone unwanted enter the facilities. That's the main advantage we offer when interacting with Axis' main access control system. It allows only authorized persons to enter a building, thereby preventing future risks."
Rubio explained: "We have security levels, from 1 to 5, and it all depends on the needs of the end user. Level 1, which is to control flows, are transport systems, even vulnerable, do not have sensors and require supervision; then systems 2 and 3, which have deterrent systems, which cover an entire entrance and are difficult to jump without an authorization; from there come optical turnstiles with sensors, which prevent someone from wanting to jump them, they are not horizontal but vertical. And level 5, which prevents anyone from entering, and for that we have the security revolving doors and the locks at level 4 and 5, respectively."
On the company's performance in the country, he said: "In Mexico we are doing very well. We have five years with a local presence, before it was handled from the United States and we have doubled sales in Mexico. We have local technical support people. We are pushing to close 2017 well to have the numbers we set out to do at the beginning of the year."
