Two decades ago he started this dream called WINGS, in which we wanted to bring together an industry that in Latin America and the Caribbean is always in constant growth. Every step we take and every decision we make is designed to make our partners, who are our raison d'être, increasingly positioned in the market and thus grow together as an industry.
These 20 years, we are going to celebrate them within the framework of our most important event; the ALAS Management Summit, a moment of reunion with our partners in which the most important characters from the different branches of the security field in Latin America participate. This will be the seventh edition and will be held in the city of Miami on July 26 and 27.
The Summit will give attendees the opportunity to interact with experts, strengthen management skills through conferences and workshops and of course, update themselves on new trends in the security industry. In addition, the event offers the right environment to generate business contacts and develop networking activities that allow creating fundamental relationships for the interests of attendees and sponsors. The Summit also offers an opportunity to learn about new products and services from manufacturers and distributors.
It has been 20 years full of constant challenges and new challenges, and this will be the time to recognize the partners who trusted WINGS in our beginnings. Partners who grew up with us and who showed that through associativity the path is easier. Today, as a reward for this bet, they are part of the most recognized companies in Latin America.
There are many stories that we have lived during these 20 years and likewise, there has been a lot of learning. For this reason we will make an account of these experiences but also, we will have our eyes on what will be the next 20 years.
The Summit will also provide a space to recognize the winners of the ALAS Award, which is given to the best security projects developed in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the aim of stimulating creativity, innovation and the realization of projects related to the area of security.
This is how we will celebrate with great pride our first 20 years, but in addition to celebrating, it will also be the time to deliver to the new generations the message of professionalization and union of the industry.
WINGS, a tour of Latin America promoting the Industry
During the coming months, the Association is preparing to participate in major industry events that will be held in different Latin American countries, starting in Brazil with its corporate partner Exposec, passing through Central America and closing the year in South America.
With the presence at Exposec 2017, international security fair held in Brazil during the month of May, the ALAS team's tour of Latin America will continue. In this same month it will accompany its partners in Nicaragua, in Expo Seguridad Centroamericana, then it will have a conference space in Tecnoedificios y Seguridad in Panama to close the first semester of Fairs and exhibitions of the current year.
We cannot fail to mention the most important event of the Association, which in its seventh edition will feature iconic personalities of the Industry and which will again be held in Miami on July 26 and 27. The ALAS Management Summit this year will have several novelties in the exhibition of products of the sponsors, in the conferences and workshops that will be dictated during the two days of the event, in addition to the celebration of the 20 years of the Association that will deserve a special space and without fail will be the award of the fourth edition of the ALAS Award in which projects from more Latin American countries competed than in its edition previous.
For the second half of the year, the Association will be present at Datanet Bicsi Mexico which will be held in conjunction with Tecnomultimedia Infocomm. The organizers of both events seek to consolidate a technology integration fair that convenes technology managers, integrators and installers. Additionally, in August it will have a new space with the ALAS Pavilion at the International Security Fair of Bogotá Colombia ESS, where members will have the opportunity to exhibit their solutions with the support of the Association.
Also the ALAS International team will be at Seguriexpo Ecuador, Altraval in Panama and Expo Seguridad Chile - fair promoted by SICUR; with which they will finish their journey accompanying and promoting the Security Industry in 2017.
