VI version of Automatisa receives 7,000 visitors during three days of the fair

Colombia. The VI version of Automatisa successfully ends, an event that brought together 7,000 attendees from Latin America and the Caribbean and 60 exhibitors, from June 14 to 16, in more than 3,000 square meters of exhibition of the International Business and Exhibition Center of Bogotá, Corferias.

The fair, organized by Corferias and the International Society of Automation, ISA, (for its acronym in English), in Colombia, brought together in its commercial exhibition exhibitors with the most advanced in industrial automation, instrumentation,  intelligence and security in Plant; He also developed the VI Congress of Industrial Automation with 300 participants among professionals, students and entrepreneurs who listened to lectures on the present and future of industrial robotics, industrial cybersecurity, understanding of industry 4.0, optimization and energy saving in automated systems, among others.

José Luis Villa, president of ISA, in Colombia, said: "Automatisa is positioning itself more and more and we are comfortable with the results. We know that we are in the new revolution of automation technology and Colombia needs to be a more competitive country like others in the world that have opted for industry 4.0".

Úrsula Sánchez, project manager of Corferias, pointed out that Automatisa, a unique event in its category, in its VI version favored the exchange of knowledge, technologies, machinery and solutions for entrepreneurs and suppliers that advance in automation. "During the three days of the fair we have national and international experts who presented the technological innovations for a small, medium or large company to improve its production, reduce costs and save resources."

Bryan Sánchez, Yokogawa's sales manager for Colombia, said that the company was present at Automatisa to publicize its portfolio of products and services, and without a doubt, support industries, through the supply of instrumentation, control and automation systems for the treatment of aqueducts, hydroelectric and sugar mills. "In this version we have managed to reach 30 potential customers who did not know the brand  very well and  who are part of our niche market, especially belonging to engineering, IOM and PC."

Óscar Julián Isaza, area manager for Weidmüller de Colombia, indicated that it is the first time that they participate as exhibitors in Automatisa: "We have managed to make a lot of contacts; about 600 per day. For us it is a satisfaction to know that potential customers were able to learn more about our product portfolio; attending the fair has been very rewarding."
Roberto Sanabria, a product engineer at Mitsubishi Electric, said Automatisa was the setting for more than  60 new contacts. "The closest business to closing is for more than US$ 10,000 and is the starting point to consolidate our projects. The fair is excellent in the area of automation. We had already come and we hope to be present in other versions."

Ana María Mora, Marketing at Siemens, explained that during the event they developed the launch of several products, such as the new version of Via Postal and Dinamic Web Acces. Likewise, they participated with several of their customers who have been an example to follow in industrial automation, such as Conconcreto and its success story with the 3D printer; also Water Fantasy and Bavaria. "At the fair we announced the novelties such as the automation and Motion Control demos. In addition, we brought in automation specialists from Colombia and Argentina."

Peter Coral, marketing and advertising analyst at Colsein, said that the fair is the stage to expose new products and services, meet potential customers and finalize business. "We have a good balance of Automatisa by creating new commercial ties with our real target. For the next version we want to launch new products, showing customers that we are at the forefront of automation."

Carolina Luna, marketing product manager of Phoenix Contact in Colombia, said that Automatisa corroborated the interest of companies not only in the center of the country, but also in regions such as the Coast, to know and invest in industrial automation technologies. "For us it is very important that these spaces are generated. It is an event that champions the issue of new technologies and cybersecurity in the country. On our part, we will continue to participate."
