Colombia. With the objectives of increasing its customer base in the region and creating business opportunities, Boon Edam participated for the second time in the International Security Fair Colombia E+S+S, which for three days received about 8,000 visitors from all productive sectors who came in search of solutions related to the issue of both physical and electronic security.
"Our balance at the fair was excellent, the event was very busy, many people from vertical markets, potential customers and also customers who already have facilities with us came," said Jeannette Sweatt, Business Development Manager of Boon Edam for Central, South America and the Caribbean.
This sixteenth version was also the first in which Boon Edam brought products to exhibit at the event. In this case, he presented to the public the Speedlane 300 tourniquet and the Turnlock 100ECP2 full-height tourniquet, which particularly had many praises; "People liked the finish of the equipment, its black powder finish attracted a lot of attention since people were used to seeing only stainless steel equipment, also its affordable price and high level of quality ended up catching the interest of the attendees," said Jeannette Sweatt.
A look at the region's market
On the other hand, the expert in the Latin American market shared her conclusions after the three days of the fair. Overall, the demand for security equipment in this region continues to increase and sees a very positive future. "In part, this is due to the rise in crime in Latin America; according to market research, the country with the highest growth in the security sector is Mexico, then come Argentina and Colombia, with an investment of US $ 70 million in physical security," Sweatt added.
Then, regarding Boon Edam, the success stories that were executed and disseminated in the region "have helped to strengthen our products, since customers always ask for references and showing success stories is the best way to show them that our products have a long shelf life, since we do not compete with prices, and this market is learning that the cheapest is not the best from the long- and medium-term perspective," Jeannette concluded.
