Colombia. The XVI edition of the International Security Fair closed its doors with the attendance of about 8,000 visitors from all productive sectors who arrived in search of solutions for the different industrial markets.
This year, for the first time, a business schedule was carried out in which 213 appointments were made with the participation of buyers from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, the United States, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.
The scheduling allowed the generation of business expectations for more than US $ 1,166,000, according to data from the organization of the fair, as well as the commercial exchange between exhibitors and visitors who found in the event the best technologies in telecommunications, physical and electronic security, and prevention in occupational safety and disaster management.
Patricia Acosta, director of the fair, said that the importance for Colombia and other regions of the world to strengthen security in different scenarios in which the protection of life and property is promoted was demonstrated.
"We are satisfied with the results we have achieved once again at the International Security Fair held in Corferias. We are enhanced by the presence of more than 280 brands and buyers from different parts of the world who believe in safety hand in hand with the use of new technologies," he said.
Among the novelties presented by the fair are the infra – red cameras of high resolution, spy drones, helmets for protection at heights, printers and encoders for identification cards, communication radios, video recording platforms, access controls, road application software, tools for cybersecurity, video surveillance, home automation, GPS, safes, among others
Alberto Martín De Los Santos, technical director of Innovatronic for Spain, Portugal and Latin America, said that "we did very well, we had the opportunity to work with many local companies, especially monitoring centers and we were analyzing different opportunities to develop businesses."
For his part, Omar Duque, general manager of Bancarios Dulon, said that "the people we wanted arrived, it was our first time at the event that allowed us to expand our base of potential customers such as the banks that are our forte. We want to remain in force and generate remembering in our customers."
The general manager of the Medellín GVS Colombia branch, Guillermo García, said that "this year's fair was excellent, we positioned ourselves as the largest company in Colombia and the fair, we had more receptivity from new customers, the presence of our manufacturers favored us a lot since we have many projects of government and private tenders of great magnitudes. We've been participating for five years."
Leonardo Cossio, Axis Communications sales engineer, revealed that "we had the opportunity to show our solutions, we noticed an interesting influx of people, as well as integrators with clear expectations for the future of business."
In addition, Carlos Augusto Luna, Manager of Anixter for Southern And Andean Cone, said that "it was a space that allowed us to do business, to meet again with many people who had lost contact due to the dynamics of the business, which generated us to show new things that we had brought to the Colombian market and that we developed in other parts where we have a presence. We generated a positive impact with our kit service for autonomous energy systems for everything that is citizen self-surveillance and roads which has generated a great attraction."
Undoubtedly, the fair has allowed to consolidate the efforts of companies, public entities, homes and industries that have implemented the use of technological equipment and have developed studies which allow a comprehensive protection of their investments or businesses.
In this way, the event will continue to strengthen itself as the center of solutions for each of the needs of these actors in terms of security and prevention.
