Latin America. Tyco Security Products presents Software House's C•CURE Go reader, an access control solution that can be used in various environments through a mobile application.
Via an Android tablet or phone, the C•CURE Go reader connects to a multi-technology reading head, acts as an iSTAR control door and becomes a portable card reader or a virtual door complete with schedule, authorization and holiday information.
It is ideal for use in places where it is not possible to install an access control door, such as construction sites and events and other remote or temporary use places. The C•CURE Go reader is compatible with various proximity card technologies, such as MIFARE CSN, MIFARE sector and iCLASS sector, among others.
Because it functions as a "gateway" within the C•CURE 9000 security and event management platform, users can validate their cards on the C•CURE 9000 server when online, or in offline mode using the cached database.
The C•CURE Go reader can also be used in cases of emergency to perform tasks at meeting points in places of temporary use or in daily activities such as rolling out on buses or excursions. All activities performed online or offline are recorded in C•CURE 9000.
"There are many situations where users need to control access but don't have the ability to install a traditional reader. Thanks to the flexibility of the C•CURE Go reader, any Android smartphone or tablet can become an access control gateway to increase the level of security and perform a wide variety of activities in remote locations," said Rick Focke, Senior Product Manager, Software House, Tyco Security Products.
