Latin America. According to statistics from gsmA, the World Organization of Mobile Operators, there are currently more than 340 million mobile users in Latin America and it is expected that in 2017 there will be 374 million.
With this statistic and based on the importance of smartphones for users, HID Global advances in the promotion of mobile access control solutions, as a benefit for companies in the region to adopt them as models of secure identification.
This and other of its innovations will be part of the exhibition that HID Global, prepares for the International Security Fair to be held in Colombia between August 17 and 19.
"We recognize the Fair as an excellent opportunity to introduce our new products, which always stand out for their innovation, since their participants are of high relevance to our business," says Natacha Jaramillo, regional sales manager of the Secure Issuance division, in Latin America, for HID Global.
During this event, in addition to mobility technology, "we will have new Fargo® brand equipment from HID Global for the issuance of identification documents with innovative technologies," says Jaramillo.
During the first day of the International Security Fair, the regional sales manager for the Andean Region of hid Global's IAM division, Nawel Javier Vargas, will present the talk "Forgot your credential? Identify yourself with your cell phone. Dream or reality?"
"One of the main advantages that the mobile access control solution brings us is the possibility of enabling a credential remotely and much faster. Indisputably, mobile access control eliminates logistical processes for the activation of a user in an access control system. We are really seeing a very interesting response to start working with this new identification model. In addition to this, if we evaluate that in the region the use of smartphones increases, we can foresee that the penetration that these devices have in the market will allow us to make the mobile access control experience much faster, "explains Nawel Javier Vargas.
According to a GSMA analysis, in five years, Latin America will be in second place in the world behind Asia, in terms of the installed base of smartphones. On this premise, HID Global® will present during the Fair, a wide variety of Secure Identification solutions in access control systems and solutions for Governments against the identification of citizens. They will also showcase user identification solutions for the use of online banking services. For companies there are tags for the identification of articles, being devices that allow the control of assets or traceability in production processes.
