Latin America. Hanwha Techwin America (former Samsung Techwin) appointed Fernando Tomasiello as the new vice president of the Latin America business division effective June 15.
Tomasiello has served in the security industry for 20 years and has worked for Samsung/GVI, Verint and Prosegur, among other companies, before joining Hanwha Techwin America.
"Fernando is recognized for his previous services in many organizations in our industry as a visionary leader and a player who always puts his team first. We are confident that his leadership will bring new opportunities and changes to our business," said Soonhong Ahn, President of Hanwha Techwin America.
Fernando has a lot of experience as an international sales and operations executive in CCTV industries. He has excellent business acumen and experience in growth and financial stability. He worked nine years at Samsung Electronics, as vice president of operations and international sales for Latin America making the brand one of the leaders in the region.
Hanwha Techwin America is the new name of Samsung Techwin America. Aside from the company's name change, its product, service and technical support offerings remain intact and even continue to develop further. The company also has local offices in the largest countries in the region and a central office in the city of Miami to manage these territories. Hanwha Techwin America has recently announced that it will make an aggressive investment in its security business in order to become the leader in the CCTV industry in 2020.
The company handles Samsung's brand of IP and analog cameras Wisenet that were introduced by Hanwha/Samsung Techwin in 2013 and enjoys wide acceptance in the industry. The next generation of 'Wisenet' cameras is expected to be launched soon and will offer a revolutionary technology product line for the industry.
