We cannot tire of repeating it, underlining it and remembering it every day: training is a necessity of all members of the industry and therefore, it is the responsibility of each one to fight for the massification of this type of spaces in Latin America.
I know the efforts of several associations that throughout the year try to generate educational spaces for their members; as is the case of ALAS, which will soon have its Management Summit in Miami, many companies also lead this kind of alternatives inviting all their clients to participate in talks presented by experts. But it is never enough, because education in our sector must be a priority.
We in SECURITY SALES generate content that seeks to be profitable for readers, that help them in their daily tasks and that solve their technical concerns so that they can then offer a better service. It is a small contribution, added to the publication in our different information channels of the different initiatives of this type that are offered in the region.
But there are several issues that concern us and that we question: Is there enough interest of technicians in training? How prepared are you to face the new challenges that the latest technologies bring?
We asked the above, because we have witnessed that on many occasions the amount of public expected to attend some training spaces has not been enough, or there are very few questions that are generated from a talk. What can it be? Disinterest, ignorance?
We dream of seeing all the conference and training rooms full of technicians, hungry for knowledge, more participatory and more interested in learning. We applaud those who already do, and invite them to incentivize their colleagues. Remember that this industry depends on what each and every one of us does.
