A Vari-Focal lens that supports mega-pixel resolution and meets the bandwidth needs for the NIR (Near IR) range is Tamron's new addition to its portfolio of Vari-Focal lenses, the M13VG550IR (1/3" 5-50MM F/1.6).
Its optical design and glass materials improve the performance of the entire spectrum of images; with focal length 5-50 mm allows day and night surveillance.
It manages to improve the compensation of chromatic aberrations and image quality in nir range resolution. Multilayer coating technology is applied for the suppression of reflections and stray lights, so the disturbing flashes and shadows are completely suppressed.
It has a large rotation angle for ease of focus adjustment, a mounting sliding mechanism that helps the fast camera and lens tuning and has highly reliable auto iris system.
