Colombia. The Social Responsibility of your company can become hundreds of smiles and gratitude of children who need it. Find out how Mission 500 together with World Vision are working to build a future with hope; Join in, it's time.
Mission 500 is a non-profit organization whose goal is to be a catalyst in the Security Industry to create a better world through the attention and development of the most important heritage of our future: girls and boys. In that way, it is dedicated to promoting child well-being, helping vulnerable children and communities around the world through World Vision's community development programs.
Mission 500 was born in the United States in the late 1990s as a Social Responsibility initiative driven by a safety product distribution company, whose goal was to improve the lives of 500 children through the World Vision Sponsorship Program. The company, as well as its partners, collaborators, customers and suppliers worked together to achieve this goal.
In 2007, the Mission 500 initiative was introduced into the Security Industry globally. This is how Mission 500 was created, as a platform for Social Responsibility in the security sector, successfully achieving a positive change in the lives of 500 children and their families. Since its inception, Mission 500 has allocated 100% of the funds raised to World Vision's community development programs through the sponsorship of children. Mission 500 does not generate any type of administrative expense since it operates thanks to the commitment of entrepreneurs in the Security Industry who work in this cause voluntarily. Mission 500 has an 8-member Advisory Committee and an Executive Board of 16 representatives of the Security Industry in the United States who have promoted this project since the beginning of 2013.
Sponsorship Program
Children who live in communities where there are serious problems manage to get ahead and fulfill their dreams thanks to the World Vision Sponsorship Program. This program provides the opportunity to personally meet the child you sponsor, in addition to receiving detailed reports on their nutritional status, education and other aspects of their life.
The objective is to generate impact actions in communities in situations of vulnerability and poverty where World Vision has been working for more than 35 years, allowing to generate value in each company in the security sector through the construction of an alliance that is initially projected to benefit 500 children while we work to build a better country.
