Mexico. Tyco Security Products recently hosted its 2013 conference for clients in Latin America and the Caribbean, a three-day invitation-only event for the purpose of giving back to its customers, which took place in Los Cabos, Mexico.
The meeting was held at the Barceló Los Cabos Palace Deluxe hotel, from 15 to 18 October. The event provided attendees with the opportunity to learn about new product launches that are scheduled for 2014 and improvements to existing product lines. More than 80 distributors, system integrators and security consultants gathered at the conference.
Attendees participated in different academic sessions in which an overview of the latest product developments from brands such as American Dynamics, Kantech and Software House, as well as intrusion detection brands such as DSC and Visonic were offered. The event was attended by Exacq Technologies, a leader in the development of open architecture video management system (VMS) solutions and surveillance applications.
This year's event featured the presentation of a case study detailing the security project carried out with Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, an entity that manages 12 of the airports with the most passenger traffic in Mexico, including Los Cabos International Airport. This airport group installed American Dynamics' victor unified video management solution to manage IP cameras in multiple locations. The access control component of the project is articulated around the C•CURE 9000 event management system of the Software House brand.
