Axis improves Integration with software partners

altMexico. Axis Communications announced that it has developed its Application Developer Partner Program (ADP) to augment intelligent software solutions for regional end customers by increasing local support and creating a more defined partner program.


Axis has strengthened the ADP Program by hiring more dedicated staff for closer collaboration with regional software developers.  Exchanging local capabilities, market knowledge, cultural and legal awareness, which will result in a simpler and earlier integration of Axis products and capabilities with specific software solutions, especially those that are adapted for a certain region or industry segment.

"We see the opportunity to work more closely with strategically important ADPs in local markets as an important step in maintaining our continued leadership in the global market.  By making an investment to have dedicated employees in all regions, we will continue to update the ADPs Program, further strengthen our market-leading position and create true win-win partnerships," said Bodil Sonesson, Vice President of Sales at Axis Communications.

"The ADPs program has grown rapidly from having 60 partners in 2002 to well over 1000 developers in the world today and it is worth mentioning that growth has also been observed in Mexico, Central and South America," said Fernando Esteban, Manager for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, "By having a better definition of the levels of ADPs and the growth of our local support, By committing to having more resources, we can propel the industry into an era of proactive surveillance through intelligent network video solutions for our mutual end customers."

Axis has officially introduced three levels of collaboration in the ADP Program to encourage open participation, grow business and rewards loyalty with clear benefits and requirements:

Application Developer Partner
All qualified software vendors who are ready to integrate their commercial software with Axis network video products are eligible to participate in the program as Application Developer Partners.  Axis offers a number of technical development tools, support, and marketing benefits to help ADPs get off to a successful start.

ADP Silver
Partners at the Silver level develop their business together with Axis, focusing on joint installations, new opportunities and marketing initiatives.  Silver-level AFPs successfully meet the demands of Axis end customers with software solutions specific to priority industrial sectors.

ADP Gold
Gold PDAs are market-leading companies that work closely with Axis to focus on early integration and joint business development.  Gold Partners offer robust, flexible and scalable network video applications.  They offer top-of-the-line support and have proven that Axis is your preferred network video surveillance provider.

The Axis Application Developer Partner Program offers focused tools, services and training to meet specific customer needs.  For example, along with leveraging a Public Application Programming Interface (API), Axis offers partners different Software Development Kits (SDKs) to more easily integrate Axis network video streams into their applications.

In addition, Axis offers the Integrated Development SDK to partners so they can write applications for the AXIS Camera Application Platform, as well as the Axis Virtual Camera that allows developers to simulate multiple camera signals to test application performance.

The ADP Program is a cornerstone of axis' partner network and vitally important to Axis as it helps software vendors fully integrate Axis network video products into end customer solutions.  By providing open programming interfaces, dedicated support, technical documentation and specifications from application developers with which they can easily integrate with a broad portfolio of products and unique Axis capabilities.
