Colombia. SENA, a Colombian public institution in charge of teaching technical and technological programs, will have a video surveillance solution from the company Axis.
Precisely one of its main regional headquarters is located in Bogotá and has an area of 18,000 m2, generating the need to control and monitor the safety of both the people who remain on campus, and its heritage.
SENA was created in 1957 and since then its growth at the national level has allowed it to now have 33 regional headquarters, offering a complete portfolio of academic training courses.
For all the above and seeing the need to have a security platform in the Regional Headquarters Capital District of SENA, Observer Monitoring presented the offer with 44 Axis network cameras of high definition, H.264 compression format, Antitampering, among others.
The areas protected by the video surveillance system are: classrooms, administrative offices, parking lots, laboratories and staff income. AXIS M1054, AXIS M1114 – E and AXIS P5534 – E cameras were installed there, as well as a PTZ Jostick that allows you to have control of the images.
The solution now provides security in the facilities, with a large capacity to attend special situations. The system has now proven to be efficient, competitive and profitable thanks to the guarantee and support of the equipment used.
It is currently initiating a new process to expand the network, as well as thinking about the possibility of applying the project and the system in other educational centers nationwide.
"The experience with axis cameras has been good, it has provided us with security, thanks to the high quality monitoring of the headquarters facilities, so we think of future projects where this technology allows us to continue growing," said Daniel Benavides, SENA Regional Capital District Building Manager.
The solution includes the Netcamara City camera management software, developed by Netcamara, which had a Cat 6 data network, a server, 10 TB Disk, 20 GB RAM and 4 high-resolution monitors that allow real-time images of each of the monitored areas.
