Peru. The mayor of Santiago de Surco, Roberto Gómez and the Minister of the Interior, Wilfredo Pedraza, inaugurated last Friday a new Observation and Video Surveillance Center that includes seven cameras with HD technology and that will reinforce the security of this district.
"The cameras allow us a meticulous work in the fight against crime and delinquency, so we have vigilant eyes in Santiago de Surco and that, added to a coordinated work with the National Police, through the Integrated Patrol, allows us a more effective action," said Gómez.
The burgomaster also highlighted the implementation of the 'Safe Quadrant' plan that will increase the police presence on the streets through foot patrolling and where, Surco, is one of the districts where this plan will be applied.
In turn, Minister Pedraza, highlighted the achievements obtained through the Integrated Patrol, between serene and police the same that allows an effectiveness and a positive result reducing the crime rates that affect the district.
It should be noted that the new Observation and Video Surveillance Center or Security Bag integrates surveillance cameras, monitoring centers and Integrated Patrol units to serve specific sectors.
In addition, to this will be added the Bolsones in the urbanizations Coviecma, San Roque, Neptuno, Pío XII, Villa Libertad, Próceres, Precursores, Julito Escobar, la Encalada, Los Álamos and Benavides, the latter that monitors cameras installed in the San Ignacio de Monterrico urbanization, strengthen security in the district.
