Mexico. The tender for the purchase of 200 surveillance video cameras for the municipality of Zapopan was launched, as well as what is needed to culminate with the new Police building in this city.
The tender is in the order of 60 million pesos (about US$4.8 million); 25 million (about US$2 million) for video surveillance cameras and the rest for the wiring and supplies needed in the building that, it is proposed, will be ready in April, said the mayor of Zapopan, Héctor Robles Peiro.
"It's 60 million for all the equipment, including the surveillance cameras, the wiring of the entire police building, plus the entire intelligence center, which represents the computers themselves, tablets that some commanders can bring, more apart from the controls of entry and exit of the servers of the Police building."
According to the president, the Zapopan Police building, located next to the Athletics Stadium, will have two important areas: one is the general police operation, and another, the intelligence operation, which is intended to be the headquarters of the Metropolitan Intelligence Center, whose proposal was already presented on Thursday to the governor of the State, Aristóteles Sandoval.
