Bolivia. 32 security cameras have come into operation to monitor the busiest and high crime sites in four areas of El Alto, Mayor Edgar Patana said.
"This is one of the gifts that El Alto needs, the points in which they were placed we do not all know and that is the idea, that they are as hidden as possible. It was learned that the areas in which the installation of the 32 cameras was prioritized are: Villa Dolores, 12 de Octubre, Villa Bolívar A and 16 de Julio, classified as red and dangerous sectors due to the number of people who circulate daily and the economic movement.
Patana said that the cameras are of high resolution and that they will be able to capture faces from more than 400 meters and identify suspects and people who have committed an illicit act or fix images of sectors or license plates of vehicles.
The system will have a monitoring center, with 42-inch screens, from where you can control the cameras and have the record for more than a month of events that have arisen in the surveillance sectors.
